Soylar Candles is run on a 3.3 kilowatt solar system. Our system runs enough electricity for our home and business. We feel so good about our investment in clean energy that we want to share our experience with others. This is our way of helping our community to go green, and to help stop the affects of global warming for our children and for our future generations. We feel a strong sense of responsibility as parents to leave a clean and healthy planet for them when we are gone. It is our responsibility to teach them to live sustainably and to respect our natural resources.
At our solar tours, we go beyond solar. We educate the public about ways they can live sustainably and help the environment. Many of the tips we talk about are on our "Fifty-Somethings" page. We talk about composting, reducing the amount of litter by precycling, going "all" electric after going solar, and driving with solar powered cars and scooters. A simple solution anyone can do right now is bring your own bags to the grocery store, and refuse paper and plastic. We hope that our web pages are helpful, and if you've learned something new here, please let us know via our "contact us" page. We'd love to hear your comments.
