Hello, my name is Irene AKA crafter extraordinaire! I am a crafter at heart and I love to make scented soy candles and cold processed artisan soap. I make everything myself from scratch with only the best raw materials nature has to offer.

Our candle company started back in 2007, and went online in 2009. At that time I was a full time stay at home mom, and I made everything in the garage of our family home that ran on solar power. That is how the name Soylar Candles came to be. Later in 2011, I started making old fashioned cold processed soap, and hit the local farmers market scene. Although the farmers market didn't quite work out, I gave it a good year before I decided to quit. All in all, it was a fun experience and I got to meet my customers in person.

Since 2014 our family had to move from our solar home, and downsize quite a bit. I am now working outside of the home part time at a job I absolutely love! I am an instructional aide at a local elementary school. I work on your orders when I get home, and sometimes I work evenings and some weekends. Everything is lovingly handmade in our little kitchen. Your products are carefully handcrafted in a pet-free and smoke-free home. I really love working from home. Many many thanks for your love and support!

I am a single mother of two amazing kids that keep me on my toes. I know God has a plan for us, and I thank Him every day for all of our blessings. It is my dream to one day be a full time traveling missionary and sharing the gospel to the nations. All of this with the support of Soylar Candles, my family and friends, and of course God. Because I must be about my Father's business.
